Mill Creek Restoration Project Board of Trustees and Affiliations:

Pete Chronis, President: Pete is the owner and CEO of Reece-Campbell, one of the largest construction companies in Greater Cincinnati.  He is an avid bicyclist and served as the volunteer construction manager for Laughing Brook, the constructed wetland and public art project MCRP installed in Salway Park.

Catherine Hartman, Vice President: Catherine is an environmental engineer, retired science teacher, and former Village of Evendale Council member.

John Hunter, Secretary: John is a retired microbiologist with Procter and Gamble.  He and his wife Helen are active in civic causes, including the League of Women Voters.

Mary Ida Compton, Treasurer: Mary Ida is a financial analyst and a founder of the Hyde Park Farmer’s Market that provides locally grown food and other items June through October each year.

Dave Boutelle: Dave is an urban forester and serves as the Greenspace Manager for the Cincinnati Park Board.

Leonard (“Mike”) Fremont: Mike is a retired engineer, founder of MCRP and other river groups, and an energetic canoeist and runner.  At age 87, he has won three national marathon records that are pending with the USA Track and Field!

Beverly Head: Beverly serves as Superintendent, Division of Industrial Waste for the Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati.

Stanley Hedeen: Stan is an ecologist, retired Xavier University professor, and author of The Mill Creek: An Unnatural History of an Urban Stream, published by MCRP.

Sharon Maiman: Sharon is a Master Gardener, substitute teacher and active civic volunteer.

Bradford Mank: Brad is a U.C. Law School professor and serves as the current chair of the City of Cincinnati’s Environmental Advisory Council.

Gwen McFarlin: Gwen is a health professional at Christ Hospital and serves as a Springfield Township Trustee.

Frank Russell: Frank is an urban designer and architect, serves as Director of the University of Cincinnati Community Design Center, and teaches at the U.C. Niehoff Studio in Coryville.

Barrett (“Bear”) Tullis: Bear is an attorney with Keating, Muething and Klekamp, practices in the firm’s real estate group, and serves as a member of the KMK Green Team
